"He's helping the old people who don't have a few dollars," he said. "I think the world of him."If the state doesn't get their cut, they shut you down.
In the last year I have had ALL of my car work done by home mechanics. No licenses, no company insurance, and at a lower price. If the gov found out, they would shut my mechanic down. My costs would go up, and I would be screwed. I simply cannot afford a regular mechanic and their prices.
I know that if he/she screws up my vehicle they has no insurance to cover the damages. I know the risks. I made the choice to save money knowing the risks and advantages.
The gov sees my mechanic as the enemy. I see them as a lifesaver.
