Nashville gun show

Just back from a day out and my wife and I dropped by the Nashville Gun Show at the Nashville fair grounds.

As so many people who go to gun shows know, you go for one item, but end with other items. The main item I was after was ammo. Specifically I wanted 1000 rounds of 7.62X39. I was so short at home I was willing to pay out the nose for it.

What I ended up with at the end of the day was a much different bag of goodies.

I did purchase 500 rounds of ammo for my rifle. It is Wolf 122 gr, FMJ, plus a nice ammo can was included. So now I am a bit more comfortable in this area. I had this morning only 80 rounds of Sellier & Bellot in that caliber in my house, and that simply isn't enough.

I purchased for 21$ a MNT970T scope mount for my MAK90. That was always one thing I did not like about my AK. The ability to mount a scope without spending a crapload of money for a foregrip setup, or getting one of those "odd" side mounted rail systems. I decided on this when I saw the stabilizing screws on the back.

I had seen something like this at Tapco before, but never got around to ordering it.

When I bought this I was pleasantly surprised to find that rings came with it. I was happy enough with just the rail cover, but the rings was icing for me.

I also purchased 30 Sellier & Bellot 12 gauge shotgun shells. 12 00 buck pellets in a 2 3/4 inch shell. I had blasted through my last buckshot shells when "testing" some of the bullet resistance pexi-glasss my brother installs at his worksite and was without. A situation now corrected.

My wife grumbled some when I mentioned that I may "drop by" the Smyrna Gunshow next weekend. Oh well.
